At Chachiji’s Homemade Cuisine, we take immense pride in our "Crafted by Heart, Ground
by Hand" philosophy. Because our Achar and Mithila Makhana are perishable food items
made in traditional small batches, our policies are designed to balance customer
satisfaction with the practicalities of food safety.
1. Order Cancellations
- Immediate Window: You may cancel your order within 2 hours of placement for a full refund.
- Processing Stage: Once an order has been packed or dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. As our pickles are freshly bottled and our Makhana is crisp-sealed, we cannot revert these items back into stock once prepared for your specific order.
2. Returns & Replacement
- Food Safety Protocol: For the health and safety of all our customers, we do not accep returns on food items (Achar or Makhana) once the delivery has been completed an the seal is broken.
We only offer replacements or refunds in the following specific cases:
- Damaged in Transit: If the glass jar is broken or the Makhana pouch is punctured upon arrival.
- Incorrect Item: If you received a different variant than what you ordered (e.g., Mango Pickle instead of Garlic Pickle).
- Quality Concerns: If there is a legitimate spoilage issue (excluding natural variations in color/oil levels).
3. How to File a Claim
To be eligible for a refund or replacement, you must:
- Contact us within 24 hours of receiving the package
- Provide a clear unboxing video or high-quality photos showing the damage or error.
- Keep the product and original packaging until the claim is processed.
4. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 working days to the original payment method. Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error was entirely on our part.
5. Safeguarding Our Employees
Zero Tolerance for Abuse:
- Our team works hard to ensure your traditional delicacies reach you in perfect condition. While we understand that delivery issues can be frustrating, we maintain a strict policy to safeguard our staff. Any communication (email, phone, or social media) involving profanity, threats, or harassment toward our customer service employees or delivery partners will result in the immediate rejection of the refund claim and permanent block on future purchases.
